Once Upon A Time

Its amazing how as girls grow up, they are constantly told that they will find their prince, their one true love and live Happily Ever After... But what they are never told is the truth about how things really work in the real world... Girls are never told that once they find their prince, that they will then have to deal with the stresses of life such as raising children, having a job or career, paying bills, having a home... Sometimes, Happily Ever After isn't always what we hope it will be... (not to mention that we are not all princesses either)

  1. Haha! So true. I guess the trick is in realizing that the fairy tale left off with a vague "and they lived happily ever after" because it was too complicated to say, "and they quarreled a lot, laughed a lot, cried a lot, learned to cope with each others' quirks and shortcomings, had adorable children who drove them insane, worried constantly, fell into bed every night exhausted, spent a lot of time scrubbing pop tarts out of carpet, grew old, grew wrinkly, got grandkids, and, at last, while holding hands on a porch swing one evening, they looked back over their life together and knew they had been happy."
